Summer school in Salamanca!!!!

Will be flying to the oldest university in the whole of Spain, University of Salamanca, for a month of intensive Spanish studies. Departing Tokyo tomorrow!!!

Yay! End of end-term exam and a whole month of Waseda summer’s overseas study- programme to look forward to in Espana!!!

Will be spending my birthday..probably in the library burying myself with books !! Look at the photo of the library above!!Isn’t it grand!!!!

Hahaahaha…my schoolmates didn’t nicknamed me LIBRARY QUEEN for nothing..

but…for once i can’t spend my birthDAY with my mum and beloved friends in Singapore.. !Lo siento mis amigos!

earthquake

Just experienced an earthquake-magnitude of 5.

10:13 hr.

震度–5弱 .

Too sudden to run. Too inforeseen to react.

In that 60 seconds or what felt like forever, my body froze, but my mind was rapidly thinking of the life I would be leaving behind. And all my dearest ones.

All you could do was to hold onto something concrete..

and pray.

That occurred more than 30mins ago. But you never forget that surreal feeling of the earth shaking underneath your feet. This is not my first stumble with an earthquake, but this is clearly the strongest tremor so far for me.

All the questions that needed answers.

Will it stop? Is this the end?

God do you exist?

I’m alive.

And i’m gonna live it.

The chef was featured on a prime-time variety programme and Musashi-menya ramen near my humble abode became an overnight star.

A bowl of ramen, is much more than a meal. Every mouthful every slurp every sound tells a story.

Of a hard day’s work. Of defeated spirits. Of weary souls.

Salarymen in their suits. Bored housewives. Zesty tourists. Boisterous teens.

And one silly student in her silly pigtails who was thinking about her mum as she stared at the bowl of pipin’ hot ramen.

Mum would love it..
